Only in my dreams........

I would say that I made this quilt and that it was mine! But then, I would be lying - so in my dreams and for just a few short hours I will have the most incredible quilt on my bed......and my only claim to fame is that I was able to quilt it.

But then I think about really owning this quilt, and it sitting on my bed and realize that I would never let my kids in my room, I would always be telling...

Good Morning Fat Eighth Bundle

I was just itching to make something and usually my projects require the quilting machine to finish up, so I was racking my brain to figure out what to make. My daughter and I were talking about how she wants to make a dress and I pointed out the fact that I don't have any dress patterns so we couldn't make anything. We figured we would get some dress patterns from Grandma when we see her next...

Your fabric may have been manhandled.....

The best thing about working from home is having the kids participate in the process. Our youngest has always loved to help his daddy put customer orders in the mail bags. Clint is super patient with him as he hands Clint each package, at least the ones he can pick up. Some of the boxes are a little heavy for this little guy. It seriously is so cute, he knows how to help daddy put packages in...

Summer family time

1
This is one of my first finished quilts!  Pretty sure it was an Eleanor Burns pattern.
I have been busy, busy with the fam! With the 4th of July this week, we had a great time at the parade and going out to breakfast. I have to admit that Clint is the one that loves to go to these things. I like to avoid public crowds because I tend to get a little ornery. I'll explain....

A little distracted.....

So, remember this block? I have been wanting to finish up this quilt top for a while, but I have been forcing myself to get some quilting done instead. Well, I let myself get some piecing done today. It was so much fun.

It never fails that the wind is blowing when I want to take a few pictures of my quilts outside. I am sure the neighbors heard me complaining, well ranting and raving about...

Moda label quilt.....

1
Sometimes you just need to throw some fabric together and make a super cute and easy quilt. This quilt is an autograph quilt made out of Julie Comstock's new line coming out in September called Odds and Ends.  I love this idea for a quilt because this will be for a wedding and the guests will write their well wishes for the couple on the empty spaces in the quilt.  Lissaasked me to quilt this...

Getting over the disappointment

First off, thank you so much to all the love, support and encouragement for my last post. I am really so thankful to all of the sweet comments, emails, texts and phone calls I have received since my last post. I wanted to write everyone back, but I was just overwhelmed with the many comments I received, so I hope you all know how grateful I am to you and will forgive me if you didn't receive a...

Broken Hearted

Okay, so every designer's dream is to have a book published.  This has been my dream and last year, my dream came true with a "go ahead, let's do this" by a big publishing company.  I worked my butt off for 4 months, it was a hard time for my family because I was cramped down with deadlines and I was so stressed out.  Stressed out Mama means stressed out family. So, I finally got everything done-...

Sam's Darlin' Hearts, more than just a quilt......

1

I was contacted by a friend of Mary Lou, she asked if I could quilt this special quilt which was made in memory of Mary Lou's son Sam who sadly passed away. I have spent some time getting to know Sam and Mary Lou through Mary Lou's blog entries about Samand my heart aches for her loss. I felt honored that they thought of me to quilt this, because it is more than just a quilt. It's a treasured...
