Joette's quilt finished!

1
This may be a world record for me because I have finished another quilt after finishing one just last week.  I have some deadlines coming up - and some family getaways that need to all mesh together to make it so I get everything done in time.  Anyway, trying to get all I can finished so I don't get too stressed out - yeah, that's funny ;-)  So, this quilt.  It's super cute, right?

Barbara's quilt finished.

Hi everyone! So glad you are still around this blog, I hope ;-) If you have been following me on Instagram and Facebook, you would know that I have finished this beautiful quilt made by Barbara. I know that this pattern is a Pam Bono design, and a Block of the Month - but I haven't been able to find it online and I can not pull up PamBonoDesigns.com. I do know that Pam Bono passed away last year,...

That time I fell in my rollerblades. Goals.

So, I had major plans for the new year as far as getting healthy again.  Seriously. Last year I lost 15 pounds in the first month of running - then I let myself go and gain 20 pounds back on.  I think it was a combination of my first year of teaching and the lack of time I felt I had.  Priorities though, right? Oh, also - I like food.

So, for Christmas Clint bought me rollerblades. I was a kid...

Eclipse!! Finish from last year.

Picture from Sharon McConnell - Color Girl Quilts
I worked on this beautiful quilt called "Eclipse" by Sharon McConnell last July.  I wasn't able to share it because it was being published in a magazine in the UK called Quilt Now. It is always fun to work on beautiful quilts, especially this one. I had a lot of fun with it. Sharon asked me to keep the quilting simple and I did. The quilt design is...

December flew! Merry Christmas!

1
So, I always have this feeling of guilt when I look at the date of my last post on this blog. As good as my intentions are at keeping up with my blog, it seems like time is moving so fast. It has been a fabulous December. Really. I happen to love my tree - call me a little crazy detailed though, there are a ton of ornaments on this tree. So much so, that recently the stand broke and Clint had to...

Patchwork Professional and another finish.

1
Okay, first things first.  I had a happy mail day this week when I received my copy of Patchwork Professional. I was asked a few months ago if I would like to be featured in their magazine. Of course I would!  It's a beautiful magazine and they did a fabulous job with the article.  Now, I just need to brush up on my German to read it. ;-)  The title of the article is Judi Madsen - The Queen of...

Gratitude

I love clouds.
Today is Thanksgiving here in the US.  This holiday has always made me reflect on those things I am grateful for.  I try to be grateful throughout the whole year, but this day helps me to say out loud the things I am grateful for.  I hope you will bare with me as I share some of those things.

My first time to Nashville.

1
A few weeks ago I was preparing for a trip to Nashville.  I was playing with silk too!  The project above was made from left over blocks from the "secret project" that will be shared sometime in February.  I gave this little beauty away on Instagram (@judiakagreenfairy) and hopefully the new owner will love it as much as I do.

The back of this little beauty is fantastic. I never tire of the...
