Summertime.

1
Since I have been home from traveling, I have been able to spend time in my studio again.  It has been so amazing - just being able to create again.  Noah loves to be in my studio and comes up to me and asks me to see my "kilt."  He is also known to say, "Mom - your kilting is so beautiful." I love that my kids have an appreciation for my quilting and this kid just melts my heart.  Seriously.

Lili convinced me that I needed to make her a skirt.  This girl lives in skirts and this new addition is a favorite already.  The fabric I used is from VandCo's Simply Color line for Moda.  I love how it turned out.  Best part of making the skirt was being able to spend time in the studio with my daughter.

I am also working on my second book, so there are secret projects in the works.  I was so thrilled when the above block came together perfectly. I knew I wanted the lines in the fabric to go the same direction, but the fact that they match up perfectly was a fun bonus.  I love it when that happens.

I also put together a wall backdrop for my studio.  I plan on being able to take picture of my quilts and hopefully stage my quilts.  I plan on figuring this out so that I can showcase my quilts and quilting better.

When I am not working, we are making time to play with the kids. I love the summertime.

I am also enjoying the beautiful skies from my rooftop.
I hope your summer is going fabulous! Stay tuned for a new pattern release.  I can't wait to share Bohemian with you!
