Finished...........phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay - so it's done! Thankfully. I thought this day would never come. Seriously! I have had this quilt in the works since the end of October. I did have a few little distractions - so I beg your pardon for the lack of quilting pictures in the recent months. Thank you Joe and Nan for your patience with me!

I knew when I started this quilt that it would take me a long time to quilt. Too long, but it's worth the effort as soon as I pull the finished quilt off the frames.

I used wool and hobbs batting together and I used Highlights thread by Superior Threads.

Funny thing about thread - sometimes it can be a problem. Like - you know my problem with my machine? Turns out I had a bad batch of thread - no kidding. I ruined a perfectly good rotary hook, replaced it and re-timed my machine for no reason.
Wish I could have figured that out before spending over $100 on a new part.
Good news though - I know my machine in and out and I am not intimidated by it anymore!

I don't want you to think I don't like the Highlight thread because I do, I haven't had a problem like that before and I am sure I won't have one again.

How do you like my blocks? I love them - way too fun and I don't ever want to quilt them again! Well - give me a little while to recover from this one.

Here's the back - I love it! It is it's own quilt for sure. I can't stop looking at it.

So - this is what I used to quilt this quilt. My own made up template - I traced it with a disappearing purple ink marker, I used the ruler for stitch-in-the-ditch and I used the cd cover to trace a circle for the feather circle blocks. Everything else was free-motion quilting - that is why no block will be exactly the same, but they are consistent.
It feels so good to get this quilt done!

Hey - hop on over to my sister's blog and enter to win this dress and head band - Lili just loves hers!
